Data Deletion & Your Data Rights

How to delete your data and exercise your rights under India's DPDP Act · SayNO

1. The short version

SayNo has no user accounts and does not ask for your name, email or phone number.
We don't keep the content you check (messages, QR codes, files) — it's analysed and discarded.
Your results, settings and dashboard insights live on your device and are deleted the moment you uninstall the app or clear its data.
If you'd like written confirmation of deletion, or want us to erase anything we might hold, email us and we'll handle it.

3. How to delete your data yourself

Delete on-device data (instant)

Uninstall SayNo, or go to your device Settings › Apps › SayNo › Storage › Clear data. This removes your results, settings and dashboard insights immediately.

Withdraw consent (stops further processing)

In SayNO, open Settings › Privacy and turn off scam analysis, or revoke the SMS/Camera permissions in your device settings.

4. How to request deletion or confirmation from us

Because we don't retain your content, there is usually nothing on our servers to delete. If you would like written confirmation, or wish to request erasure of anything we may hold (such as correspondence you've sent us), email hello@xzerolabs.com with the subject “Data deletion request.”

Please include: a brief description of your request, and any reference (for example, a prior support email) that helps us locate relevant information. Because we hold very little and no account identifiers, we may ask a question or two to verify the request and avoid acting on someone else's behalf.

Our response times

Acknowledgement: promptly, typically within a few working days. Completion: we complete valid deletion requests within 30 days, and resolve any grievance within 90 days. Exceptions: we may retain limited information where the law requires (for example, security or legal-compliance records).

5. Your other rights under the DPDP Act

Alongside deletion, you may:

Access a summary of any personal data we process about you.
Correct inaccurate or outdated information.
Withdraw consent at any time.
Nominate someone to exercise your rights if you die or become incapacitated.
Raise a grievance and have it addressed within 90 days.
